THREE RIVERS CONSERVATION CREW SPRING YOGA SERIES

  • Cinderlands Beer Co 2601 SMALLMAN ST PITTSBURGH United States (map)

As part of our ongoing partnership, Cinderlands Beer Co. will be joining 3 Rivers Outdoor Company and Allegheny CleanWays for a series of yoga classes at Cinderlands Warehouse on April 9, 16, and 23rd. The cost for each class is just $10 and includes an 8oz beer pour to be enjoyed after class. And there will be a few brunch items available to order when Cinderlands opens at 11:30am.

The third class on 4/23/22 will be a vinyasa krama class taught by Bianca. Vinyasa Krama is a style of yoga that pairs movement with breath. We'll warm up, flow through sun salutations, followed by several rounds of vinyasa. Each time building on the previous round and leading towards a peak pose. The class winds down with floor stretching before melting into savasana.

Bianca is a yoga teacher and practitioner born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. She began her journey of movement as soon as her feet touched the ground, getting involved with various dance classes from a young age that continued throughout the years in styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and tribal belly dance. Along with dance, her yoga practice began around 9 years old with a Saivite Hindu nun who came to her dad’s apartment in Manhattan, NY to teach her how to meditate. From then on was the start of her continuing journey into a more personal  yoga practice. In addition to vinyasa, she has practiced hatha asana and pranayama, restorative, yin, Jivamukti, Baptiste, Integral, Bikram, Iyengar, Kundalini, Pilates and power yoga. She has studied in various studios in the Pittsburgh area as well as various parts of New York, including Staten Island. As her practice grew so did her love of yoga and all it encompasses on and off the mat. The desire to teach and share all the goodness of yoga with everyone was strong and finally became a reality in the fall of 2020. Earning 200 hours as a registered yoga teacher in vinyasa krama . She hopes to share the practice with everybody who is open to receive, especially those who are in need of healing, while bringing communities that are under-represented to the forefront. Currently she is teaching classes at 3 Rivers Outdoor Company on Saturdays and also has private classes available, both in-person or online.

All proceeds will go to support the work of Allegheny CleanWays.
